Estate planning law firm

Website leads per month

Business outcome

103 website leads in one month

For one estate planning practice, the goal was simple: more conversations with people who needed legal help. Before the work began, the firm received about 25 to 30 website leads a month. In September 2026 it reported 103, a record month.

  • 103 website leads in one month
  • About 243 to 312 percent growth over the earlier monthly baseline
  • More than three times the previous monthly lead volume

The ongoing work built useful content around the questions prospective clients ask while researching estate planning: pages that explain hard subjects plainly, connect related services, and make the important answers easy to find.

Why it matters. Rankings and impressions are useful, but an owner needs inquiries, appointments and the chance to earn new clients.

AI search visibility

152,000 AI search impressions in three months

A national consumer retail brand showed what a real library of educational content can do. Instead of leaning only on product pages, the content answered the questions customers ask while researching products, traditions, styles and purchases. Over three months, the client's Search Console report recorded:

  • 152,000 impressions in Google's generative AI features, counted on the blog
  • 35,484 from the best single article
  • Nine separate articles that each cleared 3,000

These were not ads or product descriptions. They were articles that answered customer questions, and unlike an ad that stops when the budget runs out, published answers can keep contributing over time.

A note on the metric. AI search impressions measure exposure, not confirmed clicks, purchases or recommendations.

Google's Generative AI performance report, three months

Why it works

From published to cited in hours to days

In observed client examples, new pages have entered Google's index in as little as one to three hours, and new content has appeared in AI-generated answers, earned citations and surfaced as a relevant resource within hours to days. That is not because we publish more. It is because the research happens before anything is written, in four steps run in the same order every time.

  1. 01

    Authority Asset

We find the expertise the business already has that its website does not show: what it does, who it serves, and what its customers need to know.

  2. 02

    Hudson Twenty-One

We record how the business communicates across 21 dimensions, so every page sounds like the same company and represents it accurately.

  3. 03

    Market Intelligence

We research the questions buyers ask, the markets they search in, and the gaps competitors have left open.

  4. 04

    AEO Creation

We build the answers: useful, accurate, organized pages written for people first and structured so search engines and AI systems can find them.

What we are seeing

  • New pages indexed by Google in as little as 1 to 3 hours
  • New content in AI-generated answers within hours to days
  • Client pages cited directly in Google AI Overviews
  • Location pages starting to rank organically within 2 to 3 days in observed examples
  • Several consecutive articles appearing in AI-generated answers

These are observed results, not a promise of how quickly every new page will perform.

Legal AI visibility

When Google uses your content to answer the question

Prospective clients increasingly read an answer before they decide which site to visit. These legal examples show client content becoming part of that answer.

  • North Carolina law firm

Three new articles cited in Google AI Overviews

New articles on estate administration, trusts and property transfers were observed in Google AI Overviews, with material from the articles used in the generated explanations and the firm's site cited as a source. More content was observed in prominent AI answer candidate positions for questions on inheritance rights, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and local probate.

  • Legal services

Six consecutive articles in AI Overviews

In another legal content program, six consecutive published articles were observed in Google AI Overviews. Each answered a specific question people were researching. The goal is never one lucky article; it is a connected body of useful answers, because clients research their situation from several angles.

  • Estate planning and business law

A smaller site competing for top answer positions

A regional firm with a reported Domain Authority of about 18 reached reported first-place AI answer candidate positions in its local market for questions on stepchildren's inheritance rights and revocable versus irrevocable trusts, with more visibility for intestate succession and local probate. Size alone does not decide whether a page answers a specific question well.

Candidate-pool positions are not the same as verified first-place organic rankings.

  • Seattle-area law firm

9,310 AI impressions for a niche firm

For a small firm in a competitive metro market, blog posts earned 9,310 AI search impressions over three months. One article explaining a business legal question generated 1,565 on its own, and several more each passed 600. A useful article lets a firm be found while someone is still researching, before they start comparing providers.

  • Legal services

Three places on the same results page

In a documented legal search, a client's site appeared inside Google's AI-generated answer, in the source citation panel beside it, and as the first traditional organic result. AI search and traditional rankings are not competing strategies; content that answers directly can earn both.

Questions

Common questions about our results

How quickly can new content appear in Google or AI-generated answers?

We have observed some new client pages indexed by Google in as little as one to three hours, with AI search visibility developing within hours to days in certain examples. Timing varies by website, subject and platform, and no agency can guarantee immediate indexing, ranking, citation or recommendation.

Does Hudson South only work with law firms?

No. Legal services are a large part of our work, and we also work with retail brands and businesses in other industries. The process is built around each client's services, customers and market.

What is the difference between AI search impressions and AI citations?

An AI search impression means the page showed up in the reporting data for AI-generated results. A citation means the system named the site or page as a supporting source in its answer. Neither one, on its own, confirms that someone became a customer.

Can a smaller business compete with established competitors?

Yes. We have seen regional firms appear prominently for specific questions while competing with larger, older websites. Results depend on the market, the content, the website and the systems evaluating it.

Will every client get the same outcome?

No. The examples on this page describe actual reporting periods, observed search results and client feedback. Performance depends on competition, the current website, business goals and ongoing work.

How does Hudson South measure success?

We track the measures that fit each engagement: indexing, organic visibility, AI search appearances, citations, traffic, inquiries and lead quality where reliable data exists. The goal is to connect the marketing to real business opportunities.

Get found. Get cited. Get chosen.

What could these results look like for your business?

Your buyers are asking questions right now. We compare your site with your competitors', show you the questions you are missing, and walk you through it on a free 30-minute call.
